Sheer Back Dress & Paris Part Two

By our last night in Paris, we had seen most of the major tourist attractions and the only remaining site on my list was the Louvre.  Since it's open late on Wednesday and Friday evenings, we thought it would be the perfect time to explore and we were right -- while going in the evening meant less time to tour the different exhibits, it also meant less crowds and cooler temperatures.

I made a couple of observations during our 4 days in Paris (nothing Earth shattering that's for sure).  The first is that Parisians are rarely in a rush, so unlike us Americans.  Once you've claimed a table at a restaurant for dinner, it is yours for the night.  Meals last for hours and are stretched even longer by good wine and great conversation.  Second, while summer means longer days, the days in Paris seemed to last even longer.  The sun would rise around 5am and not set until 9:30-10pm.  This paired with the leisurely attitude meant that we were able fit so much into one day (interrupted, of course, by our mandatory jetlag induced naps).  We were able to do so much, except take appropriate blog photos.  With all there was to see and experience, my blogging unfortunately fell to the wayside.  But I see this as a blessing in disguise -- less pictures of me means less documentation of the steady weight gain that I undoubtedly succumbed to over the course of our travels.
